Berkeley Heights PAL runners advance to State Junior Olympic Championships

A group of runners from the Berkeley Heights PAL youth running program known as the WolfPack Track Club qualified for the State Junior Olympics to be held in Edison on June 20. A total of 38 runners ran among more than 300 competitors in the pre-qualifier held on May 31in Westfield. They battled through stagnating heat and humidity.

Helen Kirsch, president of the Berkeley Heights Board of Education, has announced that Ashley Janosko has been appointed as District Director of Guidance and Supervisor of School Nurses for the Berkeley Heights Public Schools, effective Aug. 1. Janosko will replace Joyce Hayes, who will be retiring on Aug. 1 after serving as the districts Guidance Director for the past 11 years. Janosko is currently employed by the Somerset Hills School District as Coordinatior of the Guidance Department at Bernards High School.
