The ordinance to amend parking regulations on streets near Governor Livingston High School was not introduced on Tuesday, Feb. 24. BERKELEY HEIGHTS - The ordinance amending parking regulations in the area of Governor Livingston High School was pulled from the Township Council agenda on Tuesday night. Bobbie Peer reporting in TAP into Berkeley Heights on Thursday, Feb. 26, said the ordinance was pulled because Council President Jeanne Kingsley wasnt present.

Parking regulations around Governor Livingston High School could change if the Township Committee adopts an ordinance that will be introduced on Feb. 24. BERKELEY HEIGHTS - The Township Committee will introduce an ordinance amending the parking regulations on roads near Governor Livingston High School tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 24. The Township Police Department investigated the issue of parking in the area of the school, especially during significant sporting and other events and a traffic study was conducted by Dynamic Traffic, LLC of the area. That report was issued in June of 2014.

Bloomfield man charged with DWI more in Berkeley Heights

BERKELEY HEIGHTS - A Bloomfield man was charged with DWI and more following a one-car crash on Mountain Avenue in Berkeley Heights on Tuesday, Feb. 17. When police arrived at the scene of the accident at 10:25 p.m. on Feb. 17, Patrolman Jean-Marie Mocarski spoke with the driver, Michael Joseph, 42, who was not injured in the crash, but who exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Mocarski conducted an investigation and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The National Weather Service has issued two alerts, including a "Wind Chill Advisory," saying wind chill temperatures will drop to as low as 10 below Thursday night and Friday morning, and gusts will move up to 30 mph.
